Accountant Treasury

Job Brief

An Accountant Treasury with a minimum of 5 years of experience to support daily treasury operations is required for our company. This role involves managing cash positions, engaging with banks, and collaborating with the Treasury Manager to develop cash management strategies. The ideal candidate should have a background in accounting and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Treasury Activities: Prepare daily cash position reports and support cash forecasting processes. Develop an early warning system to identify potential cash deficits or upcoming due payments.
  • Cash Management and Analysis: Contribute to cash management strategies, analyze cash flow trends, and report cash balances. Evaluate and implement new banking products and services to optimize cash management.
  • Bank Relationship Management: Maintain accurate bank account records, including balances and cost information. Serve as the main point of contact with banks and suppliers, fostering strong relationships.
  • Document and Record Maintenance: Keep detailed financial records, logs, spreadsheets, and registers for communication with banks, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Project Financial Guidance: Assist project teams by providing financial advice and monitoring cost of debt, bank agreements, and fee structures.
  • Budgeting and Close Processes: Support budgeting and monthly close processes. Follow up on financial proceedings to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in accounting or a related role.

Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with treasury systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong analytical and decision-making abilities, and an ability to work independently. Attention to detail and good organizational skills are crucial.
