Study of the Components of Smart Cities in Urban Planning

FCEC conducted a study on the components of smart cities within urban planning, building on the recommendations set out in the Shanghai Expo 2010 document. The work included the development of a Saudi Arabian Smart City Index and Maturity Model as a roadmap for assessment and action, together with a smart‑city framework and technical and regulatory recommendations to align the Kingdom's urban planning with global smart‑city standards.
