Wildlife Restoration Complex — Concept Master Plan
Overview
Project Overview
As Prime Consultant, FCEC developed the Concept Master Plan for the Wildlife Restoration Complex under the Environmental Restoration Program of the National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC). Set on a 300,000 m² (71.5‑acre) site in Hafr Al‑Batin Governorate in the Eastern Province, the master plan organizes the complex into integrated functional zones — the Badiyah Nature Center (BNC), the Desert Garden (DG), the Terrestrial Applied Research Center (TARC), and the Experimental Fields — linked by a hierarchy of road, pedestrian, and green‑corridor networks and served by dedicated visitor, researcher, and operations entrances, with reserved areas for future development. Combining ecological restoration with scientific research and community engagement, the plan is designed to rehabilitate degraded terrestrial ecosystems, strengthen native plant and animal habitats, and establish the complex as a regional model for long‑term environmental sustainability in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
